After looking in my new book I thought why not look at one of the new oils so today Im learning about Fennel. I know it is in the Digestzen oil and smells divine in there. And I have it on order that should be here in a few days. So time to see what I can do with it.
Fennel
Botantical Family - Umbelliferae (parsley)
Extraction Method - Steam distillation from the crushed seeds
Properties - Antagonistic, antiseptic, antispasmodic, anti toxic, diuretic, and expectorant.
Common Primary Use - Benign, Prostatic Hyperplasia, Blood Clots, Bruises, Digestive System Support, Gastritis, Kidney Stones, Lactation (Increase Milk Production) Pancreas Support, Parasites, Skin (revitalizing) Tissue (Toxic Cleansing), Wrinkles.
Historical Uses - The accent Egyptians and Romans awarded garlands of fennel as praise to victorious warriors because fennel was believed to bestow strength, courage and longevity. It has been used for thousands of years for snakebites, to stave off hunger pains, to tone the female reproductive system, for earaches, eye problems, insect bites, kidney complaints, lung infections and to expel worms.
French Medicinal Uses - Cystitis, sluggish digestion, flatulence, gout, intestinal parasites, intestinal spasms, increase lactation, menopause problems, pre-menopause, urinary stones, vomiting.
Other Possible Uses - Fennel oils may be used for colic, stimulation the cardiovascular system, constipation,. digestion (support the liver) balancing hormones, nausea, obesity, PMS and stimulating the sympathetic nervous system.
Body Systems Affected - Digestive and Hormonal Systems.
Aromatic Influences - It increases longevity, courage and purification.
Application - Can be applies neat (without dilution), or dilute 1:1 (1 drop of oil to 1 drop oil carrier oil) fir children and for those with sensitive skin when using topically. Apply to reflex points and directly on area of concern. Diffuse.
Oral Us As dietary Supplement - Generally recognised as safe for human consumption . Dilute one drop of oil in one teaspoon of honey or 120ml of liquid. Not for children under the age of six. And great caution and dilution for children older than six.
Safety Data - Repeated use can possibly result in contact sensitization. Use with caution if suspect epilepsy. Use with caution during pregnancy.

Cellulite Massage: Fennel 6 drops, Coconut oil 10 drops – make blend and massage into areas of skin where Cellulite may have collected unwanted wastes – twice a day -while focused on eliminating weight and changing eating habits.
Cellulite Massage: Fennel oil 2 drops, Rosemary 2 drops, Cypress 2 drops, Lemon 4 drops, Patchouli 1 drop; gently blend and apply to sides of thighs in upward motion am and pm.
PMS Body Oil: 4 ounces of coconut oil, Fennel 5 drops, Ylang Ylang 4 drops, Clary Sage 5 drops, Roman Chamomile 6 drops, Lime 4 drops, Coriander 5 drops; gently blend together and massage the oil over your body daily, as needed
Cycle Regulating Bath Oil: 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts, Fennel 2 drops, Coriander 2 drops, Geranium 3 drops, Clary Sage 3 drops; add oils to Epsom Salts and then into bath water – soak for 15 minutes and pat dry
Menopause Balancing Bath: 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts, Fennel 1 drops, Geranium 1 drop, Clary Sage 2 drops, Roman Chamomile 2 drops; mix oils into bath salts and then into bath water-soak 15 minutes.
Cramp Relief Bath: 1/2 cup of Epsom Salts, Fennel 2 drops, Lavender Oil 1 drop, Ylang Ylang 3 drops, Marjoram 2 drops; gently blend oils into Epsom Salts and then into bath water –soak for 15.
Appetite-Suppressing Inhalant: Fennel 6 drops, Bergamot 9 drops, Patchouli 6 drops; gently blend and add to wick and seal the inhaler and use to reduce cravings and stretch time between meals.
Courage Boosting Blend: 1 tablespoon coconut oil, Fennel 3 drops, Thyme 4 drops, Black Pepper 1 drop, Ginger 1 drop; gently blend and apply to bones behind the ears and the backs of the knees.
